- Jorge Costa, FC Porto’s director of football and 2004 Champions League–winning captain collapsed from a cardiac arrest at the club’s Olival training complex and later died at São João Hospital. 💔
- Known as “O Bicho” or “The Beast,” Costa spent 15 seasons at Porto, lifting eight league titles, a UEFA Cup, the Intercontinental Cup, five Taça de Portugal trophies, and eight Super Cups. 👑
- He earned 50 caps for Portugal, had a brief spell at Charlton Athletic in the Premier League, transitioned to management across multiple countries, and returned to Porto in 2024 as a senior figure shaping the club’s future. 🌍
