🚨 3 GOALS VS 3 DIFFERENT GOALKEEPERS IN THE SAME MATCH⁉️
Martin: A single match, 3 Goalkeepers beaten! ⚽
- In a First Division match in April 1986, West Ham defender Alvin Martin scored a 4th-minute opener against Newcastle’s main goalkeeper Martin Thomas, giving West Ham a comfortable halftime lead. ⚽
- Just a minute after halftime, Thomas got injured and was replaced by midfielder Chris Hedworth. Martin scored again in the 63rd minute before Hedworth also got injured, forcing striker Beardsley to go in goal. 🧤
- West Ham dominated, and in the 85th minute, Martin completed a unique hattrick by scoring a penalty against Beardsley, sealing an 8-1 win and achieving one of football’s rarest records: scoring 3 goals vs 3 different goalkeepers in a single game. 💫
