• Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is being heavily linked to a move to Real Madrid as soon as the January transfer window, with a formal bid of around £30 million to be made, as per reports

• Real Madrid are currently in need of a solid defender to pair with Dean Huijsen, with Militao being too injury prone and Rudiger’s form rapidly declining. Their defence was a major factor in their below – par 2024-25 season, losing the league to their bitter rivals Barcelona

• Details of the contract is yet to be announced, with only the reported bid price being announced. However, with Guehi’s intention to leave Palace, this move seems to be very likely in the upcoming months
