What Are Skill Points in FC Mobile?
Simply, skill points is giving additional boost to your player in different aspects such as pace, shooting, passing and so on. So, the little boosts can make a huge difference in a match. I know you are still not getting what I am saying but once we know the importance of skill points below, you will have no question on why skill points is a game changer.
Importance of Skill Points:
Skill points affects or adds a lot of things in fc mobile such as it can add extra boost in your attributes, it can add advance skill or traits, it can even help a player to play in out of the position. Let’s discuss a bit deeply so that we will have proper understanding on how it works.
i. Increases Player’s Attributes: Below you can see when you increase skill points, the player’s attributes are increasing. So, that is a attributes boost which is definitely going to fill the stats that a specific players lacks on. For example, if your CM position card don’t have good dribbling then, increasing his Dribbling Skill points helps to make him strong in the dribbling skills too.
ii. Adds Alternate Positions: Below, I have added skill points in the center midfielder position and you can see 2 more positions with orange color which are CB & CDM. So, that means, your player can play those 2 of the positions too and this is why skill points is really important.

Advantage of choosing player with alternate position: In future, you can get duplicate CM card too, so if you choose a player who can play other extra positions then, you can keep him in his alternative position and simply keep new CM in CM position.
Disadvantage of choosing player without alternate position: In above video you can see example, my striker Drogba is losing his OVR in other positions like LW, RW, CAM & so on plus it’s decreasing Total Team OVR too.
It’s not same in case of the Matthaus card, as Matthaus card can play different position after giving skill points. He will just loses his 98% of the initial OVR which is not higher OVR lose. So, if you choose players who can play alternate position then, it’s always going to benefit you in future.
iii. Adds Advance Skill: There are 2 types of skill points in each card. 1 is basic and basic has 3 points you can assign. Another skill points type is Advance and each card has 3 Advance Skill Points however, you can only use 1 advance skill points only in 1 player. Just check below video guide to see how it works:
Anyway, conclusion is, to unlock advance skill points, firstly you must max your 1 of the basic skill points and then, you can unlock your advance skill points and Advance skill points are 3x effective than basic skill points.
Exception: Some of the position might not have 3 basic and advance skill points i.e. GK so keep that in mind.
Skill Points Reset
Suppose you have given a skill points to many of your players already but the skill points you have given to your players are wrong as per the best skill points that you can give to specific position. So, in such case, if you want to re-insert skill points then, Skill Points Reset is helpful.
To re-insert skill points, you have to reset all your skill points. To do it, click on RESET ALL button. It will consume your 1k gems to reset all your skill points which is not very high cost in my opinion. Anyway, it’s always important you check the guide before inserting skill points as you don’t have to waste 1k gems to reset skill points later. Check below video clip on resetting skill points:
How to use Skill Points in FC Mobile?
This is really important thing as randomly inserting skill points is not a appropriate way or it’s not correct way to use skill points. Firstly, skill points is connected with rank up system.
You can rank up your player to 5 levels right? So, ranking players to level 1, you can unlock only 1 skill points, similarly, in the below table you can see, how much rank up unlocks, how many skill points.

This is why, ranking up players is important here before assigning skill points.
To use skill points follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Go to your squad & click on player you wish to insert skill points.
Step 2: Now, you can see different options, but go to DETAILS.
Step 3: Click on the skill points (Note: You can see numbers which is showing, how much skill points is unlocked in your player.
Step 4: First max the basic skill point which you think is is best for your player. I am going to give skill points to my CM (Matthaus) card, who have lowest stats on shooting and physical and many people makes mistake of increasing skill points where players lacks on but I think, using skill point with this approach is wrong.

Please note that, these skill points combination are prepared by our pro players to help beginners to choose right skill points most of the time however, personally I think, you should test different skill points time to time as if everyone follow 1 approach, you will never know if other approach is better than the recent approach you are following.
