Tactical Play in H2H Matches

Although we’re not in manager mode, we can still play tactically with good skills. Here are the main tactics H2H players use:

• Possession Play
• Counter Attack
• Cross Spam

For the most-used formations in FC Mobile 24, the 4-2-3-1 narrow and 4-3-3 holding are likely the most effective for top players.

We will explain how the tactics work. It’s simple and easy to understand.

The Tactics

3-5-2:

The formation that becomes meta after recent gameplay update

It has balance in the midfield ,providing high possession and makes great space for attackers to score, while in defense with 3 CB, each of them will make sure in the middle won’t have any much opening space ,with 2 CDM covering the extra space that the opponent can break through. It’s one of the best formations for a player who loves buildup while countering at the same time.

For the basic tactics in attack ,we prefer all the attackers with H/M so that we can link to each attacker easily without losing possession. start the counter with RM(basically RW, since we need pace to make a fast counter. suggest to use players like nico william and bale etc type rapid players),trigger run the ST to make more extra space to explore. when you see a proper chance you have those choice

1.Pass to your ST, and use skill moves such as fake shot/lane change etc and shot. (remember only if your striker is close enough to the box)

2.Pass to your midfielder and continue holding the ball until see a proper chance ,this tactic is the most fc 1 will do when they see a opponent with very much experience as they are know how to deal with the first choice attacking choice

3.Hold the ball with your wingers and dribble around ,make a cross and pray.

Those are the basic tactic, of course there’s more situation but those are the normal moment we can see

something you need to know before using this formation to play in head to head

CONS:

– We don’t suggest players use very short player in this formation especially in the midfield unless it was a confirmed card in player review that its very great on dealing with physical challenge ,this is to ensure the possession won’t be lost easily.

– If you don’t have a very good CB trio ,it’s very dangerous to use this tactic as there will be wide space open for winger at right/left side depends where the ball is

– The midfield might be overload on attack and makes you to prevent counter more hard than usual ,so you must read second cons before you use this formation

– IT’S NOT VERY GOOD FOR AWAY PLAYER IN TOURNAMENT IF YOU HAVE EXTREME HIGH PING ,THIS CONS IS IMPORTANT.

NOTE : In Higher Ping Matches It’s Better That You Use More Defensive Formation And The Best FORMATION For That Role RIGHT Now Is 4231N .

PROS:

– This formation is very good for counter attack

– This formation can overload a lot on attack ,giving more choice to hold high possession and find more chance than usual formations

– 2 strikers can make more space for the ST you prefer to attack.

– The winger side are reliable since they are more wide and have more choice to make space with the midfielder linked.

Currently, this formation is used by most FC 1 player ,so this is for sure top 3 formation in the game

4-1-2-1-2 Narrow:

One of the best formation on counter attack

For this formation which used to be one of the best counter attacking formation ,it was used to be considered as the best formation

But after long periods of new gameplay updates ,it has significantly dropped a lot due to skill moves nerfed and pace reduced.

still ,we can explain how it will works out

we have 2 striker in our formation ,they will be our main attackers to score

How are we going to link to our attackers? simple

we have two choice

– Use our fullback ,carry the ball to the half line to pass. (remember during this make sure to trigger run your midfielder in case you won’t have anyone cant pass and lose possession)

– Use our CB ,pass the ball to midfielder(CM) and pass to CAM then trigger run one of the ST you prefer to pass ,in this moment we will see more space due to the st which got trigger run will attract opponent defender and we will see a huge space to do with the ST we didn’t trigger run with

We have three choice again ,to score

– Pass to our ST we didn’t trigger a run ,at this moment we will only have 2 defenders at finest to face. in this case this is about your skill time again ,most of the time we suggest to bring the ball back to hold but in this formation we don’t have many choice due to we only have player in the middle of the pitch while opponent is also overloaded in the middle ,it’s better to just trust your skill and score.

– Pass to the ST we triggered and immediately pass ,use a fake shot and the goal might be there. (the most dangerous choice)

– Continue holding ,this is also the favorite choice for FC 1 players as they want to score with a proper chance not a dangerous one.

– In attacking Beside trigger run use pass and run ( down pass stick ) with your player so that he pass the ball and open space for you so you will have more players in attack that’s mean more choices passing or just use them as bait to drag opponent and open spaces for you but if you play with 352 don’t do it with any defender

CONS:

– If the opponent has a very strong defense ,while you don’t have an extremely good attack. the attack will be completely worthless and the scoring choice are much less.

– The wing side defending might hold more pressure if your midfielder isn’t good enough to defend.

– It doesn’t have choice to pass at wing side in attack, so losing the possession is much more higher than other formation

PROS:

– This formation gives better choice to score with 2 striker formation to counter

– If opponent is also same type player who use 2 striker, it also can prevent a lot to win the ball back

– If you have strong team, this formation will have no cons since your midfielder can also be winger if you have tall player like toure /gullit/vieira

– In defense the middle won’t have any space ,the only problem most likely will be from inverted wingers.

4-3-1-2

This formation is same as 4-1-2-1-2N ,but the difference is CDM

In this case we only suggest using a CDM at CM position ,but in this formation LCM/RCM will play as RM/LM. So that means you have better choice to play at wing side better than 4-1-2-1-2 N one.

4-3-3 defending:

Recently I have found this formation with good defending and extremely good fast pace for my players.

In this formation ,we will have 3 attackers with 1 RW/1 ST/1 LW

for this formation to link with attackers might be a little bit harder due to the distance ,but if any of your player have a trait call ”long passer” it won’t be a problem

in this formation ,the ST pace will be much faster than other formation

It turns out that this formation might be also one of the best to abuse pace as well

Specially in defense ,everything is also covered since we have 2 CDM and 1 CM to cover the space for opponent

The attacking choice is basically same as 4-1-2-1-2 N ,but this time we have wingers

in attack we have 3 choice as usual

– Use inverted wingers ,consistently dribble around while having fullback to overlap, making more space and use your skill to find yourself a chance to score.

– Holding with wingers ,trigger run ST and at this moment the middle has huge space again ,bring the ball to middle and this moment ST should have space again,pass and use a fake shot. then a goal might be there

– Consistently holding the possession ,this is still the choice that most FC 1 player will use

CONS:

– If the opponent has a very strong defense ,while you don’t have an extremely good attack. the attack will be completely worthless and the scoring choices are much less. the only choice will be cross at this point.

– There’s a possibility that you might not be able to attack since no link with midfielder due to long distance

– There won’t be much attacking choice with the midfield since most of them are defensive.

PROS:

– This formation gives high pace boost for attackers

– Opponent wont find easy space to score due to overload in middle and extra space which supposed to be seen

– If you have strong team ,this formation will literally have no cons

– You can have no problem to overlap with fullback since there’s CDM and CB to recover the empty position

One of the recent formations I am enjoying.

4-3-3 holding:

This is also one of the most reliable formation because of its extreme good balance

In attack it’s same with 4-3-3 defending ,but this time we have fullback and CM to rely on to overlap

Also ,we have more choice to attack in middle since we have two midfielders

In this case for the cons about ”there wont be much attacking choice with midfielder since most of them are defensive.” is not an issue anymore

and more ,you have no linking issue since you also have midfielder to make passes

so for this formations cons and pros

CONS:

– The defending will be lacking due to only 5 defenders at least if you put too much effort on attack

– The fullback position might not be able to recover.

PROS:

– Opponent won’t find easy space to score due to overload in middle and extra space which supposed to be seen

– If you have strong team ,this formation will literally have no cons

– For some players who want to make their movement unpredictable ,this is also one of the best to choose since it’s nearly impossible to predict.

4-2-3-1 Narrow:

one of the most balanced formation in the game, as it has 4 attacker in front and 2 CDM as pivot

in this formation we must heavily rely on wingers, it’s hard to straight attack with ST if you don’t have player such as R9/MVB

we have 3 CAM position ,LCAM(LW) CAM RCAM(RW)

Most of the FC 1 players will continue holding the ball with their wingers and cover with fullback. if necessary it can be CDM as well but as they don’t have good dribbling don’t hold for long term

we have three choice to attack

1.Pass to your ST ,and use skill moves such as fake shot/lane change etc and shot. (remember only if your striker is close enough to the box)

2.Pass to your midfielder and continue holding the ball until see a proper chance ,this tactic is the most fc 1 will do when they see a opponent with very much experience as they are know how to deal with the first choice attacking choice

3.Hold the ball with your wingers and dribble around, make a cross and pray.

4.Extra position, we have CAM and we can not only use proper CAM but a player who has very fast pace and skill movement ,which means you can use LW/ST/RW at this position ,in this position you can try to use skill moves to make space with it. once you find the chance it should be a goal since it’s near the box.

CONS:

– Striker might not be able to be used if you don’t have a very good ST

– If you are looking for OVR it’s not going to be the one you want to use while having good gameplay

PROS:

– The best balanced formation in the game

– Most of the FC 1 player use it as it is also an unpredictable formation in the game ,which relies on heavy experience but once you mastered it can be extreme dangerous

– Winger are more closer to midfield to links ,they will not because long ball passing but due to short distance making linking even better

– This is also one of the toughest defensive formations ,as 2 cdm can recover the position well when fullbacks are out.

4-4-2 holding

One of the favorite of FC 1 player formation choice

It’s usable since this formation has added 2 strikers in front , while having 2 cdm in the back as pivots that won’t be easily countered.

People using this formation heavily rely on either ST or wingers , as this formation is also good in front to create space and use pace to counter and score.

CONS:

– The midfield are not good enough to support attacking.

– If you are looking for OVR it’s not going to be the one you want to use while having good gameplay(RM/LM side)

PROS:

– 2 ST formation and having support from the winger side can explore better space on counter.

– It’s also a defensive formation ,the link with the winger will also be easier than other formation to attack.

– Box to Box midfielder positioning will be much better with this formation ,they can support everywhere while having good position.
