  • Former Germany defender Jerome Boateng, 37, has officially retired from professional football. The 2014 World Cup winner announced his retirement, expressing gratitude to his clubs, country, fans, and family while reflecting on his long football career. 💔
  • Boateng came through the Hertha Berlin academy alongside his half-brother Kevin-Prince Boateng and had spells at Hamburg and Manchester City before becoming a Bayern Munich stalwart. In the latter stages of his career, he played for Lyon, Salernitana, and LASK, leaving LASK in August 2025. 🏆
  • During his career, Boateng made 76 appearances for Germany, scored once, and lifted the 2014 World Cup. At Bayern Munich, he won two Champions League titles (2013, 2020), nine Bundesliga crowns, and multiple domestic cups, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, resilience, and success. ✍️
